How to give incredible and secret uses to vinegar

White vinegar is an excellent product for natural, ecological, economic and very useful domestic use for cleaning, exfoliation, deodorization and decalcification.

It is composed of acetic acid (approximately 5-10%) and water (approximately 90-95%), which results in a liquid with an incredibly clean, crispy taste and strong odor.  However, and like everything else in life, acetic acid does not fall from the sky.  😁

It is the result of a fermentation process in which tons of small microorganisms eat and process alcohol (ethanol), dosing the sour and spicy liquid we know as vinegar.

You can make vinegar with any ingredient that contains alcohol (there are wine, apple cider and even beer) but white vinegar is made with a vodka-style distilled grain brandy.  The microorganisms get drunk, and we get vinegar.  Great!  😁

One of the most popular uses of any vinegar is edible (in fact for many people it is the only one) for example, to season a salad or any other meal.  But do not worry because in this article you will know many more uses of white vinegar.

In our opinion, white distilled vinegar is by far the best home remedy for cleaning.  We are going to give you our tips to clean many things with it:

Cut the fat, disinfect the surface and deodorize without leaving harmful chemical residues.  You can even learn to make vinegar for yourself to always have a wide assortment at hand.  Discovering its properties and benefits to use at home can be very important.

 Marinate the meat

Vinegar marinades soften the meat while killing any type of surface bacteria.  Prepare a tasty marinade by adding your favorite herbs and spices to white vinegar, sherry vinegar, white balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar.

Use 1/4 cup of marinade for every kilo of meat and marine for a minimum of 20 minutes, or you can leave it in the refrigerator for up to one day, depending on the meat chosen and how tasty your meat is.  Try a traditional balsamic vinegar or white wine vinegar with chicken.  You can apply it to any meal with chicken or meat.

 To boil eggs

Add a tablespoon of distilled white vinegar to the water when boiling the eggs.  Vinegar keeps eggs together while cooking and prevents the mess created by broken eggs.  It also helps to remove the eggshell easily when ready to use.

Make the most of the dressings

When you finish your bottle of mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup or others, add a few drops of white vinegar, apple cider vinegar or wine vinegar and stir.  The remaining condiments are slightly diluted and can be poured 😉

 Health and beauty benefits 👩‍⚕️

Use vinegar for a sore throat

For a sore throat caused by coughs and colds, gargle with a glass of warm water with a tablespoon of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of salt.  Use it as many times as necessary until the sore throat disappears.  It works excellent as a home remedy.

 Whiten your teeth

Once a week or every 4 days, brush your teeth with a brush dipped in distilled white vinegar.  Rinse your mouth thoroughly after brushing your teeth.  Brushing with vinegar will keep your teeth white and destroy the bacteria that cause odor and bad breath.

For the skin

For a relaxing spa treatment at home, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar + a few drops of your favorite essential oil essence to the water in your tub and enjoy a bath.  Vinegar removes excess oil and dead skin, leaving the skin of your body, face and hands softer and smoother.

Clean your nails before the manicure

Before applying the polish, clean your nails with some cotton soaked in distilled white vinegar.  Vinegar cleans residual oils and helps my manicure last longer and reduces splinters.  You can use it on the toenails or hands.

 Remove dandruff

White vinegar is a fast and effective home remedy for the health of a dry and flaky scalp.  Once a week, pour a cup of white vinegar on your scalp, wait 15 minutes and rinse it with cold water.

Your hair will shine again!  Don't forget to clean your brushes with vinegar while you do it.

 Against fungus and toenails

And if we talk about health we can not fail to mention the annoying fungi.  Soak your feet in a solution of vinegar diluted in water for a couple of minutes, and it will help you fight the fungus of the feet and toenails thanks to its disinfectant property.

 Prepare your feet for summer

Do your feet need beauty treatment before putting on those summer sandals?  Soften them by soaking them in a part of vinegar and two parts of warm water.  Remember that vinegar softens the skin and removes dead skin.  Then you can finish with a good polish.

  Wash the hair

Rinse your hair by adding a tablespoon of vinegar to the rinse water once a month to eliminate the accumulation of hair products.  Your hair will be cleaner and brighter.

 Treat bites and insect bites

A pinch of white vinegar in mosquito and insect bites stops the bite and itch while disinfecting the area and helps them heal.  Your property to disinfect is a great benefit, right?  It also works for lice / nits.

Using White Vinegar in our Garden 🌼

It is an excellent and one of the best natural remedies for pest control, but it seems to always be forgotten.  The use of vinegar in the garden, especially as a natural herbicide on the trails, shows you the powerful home remedy you have in your cupboard.

 Eliminate weeds in cracks

Make your own homemade herbicide: spray a mixture of vinegar and dish soap directly on the brush.  If you need an even stronger weed blocker, add 1 tablespoon of epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to the mixture.  Pour it into the cracks and around the sidewalks or driveway.

Kill all kinds of weeds and prevent unwanted plants from growing in cracks.  Give each weed enough vinegar to reach the roots and kill the entire plant.

 Perfect for garden furniture

White vinegar is the basis of our simple multi-purpose household cleaner to clean different types of metal and plastic garden furniture.

 Repellent against spiders

Vinegar works very well as a spider repellent.  Simply mix a cup of white vinegar and two cups of warm water in a spray bottle.  Spray around door or window frames and keep spiders away.

It also works as a natural repellent for mosquitoes and other smaller insects such as ants.  Perfect for an insect free home.

 Lift withered flowers

Cut flowers can wilt quickly.  There is a "conservation recipe" that you can use in the vase instead of running water to extend the life of your cut flowers.  If the flowers are already fallen, it will give them a new vigor and beauty.

Conservation recipe: 1 quart of water + 2 tablespoons of white vinegar + 1 teaspoon of sugar.

Vinegar for cleaning and home 🏡

It is used throughout the house: to clean the coffee maker in the kitchen, in the bathroom, to remove stains on clothes, to clean windows, animal cages, but also to treat small wounds.  You can do everything, or almost:

Clean the oven in 5 steps

 1.  Remove the racks, along with anything else that may be there.

 2. In a small bowl, I mixed a cup of baking soda with a few tablespoons of water, enough to make a thick paste.

 3. Spread this mixture throughout the interior of the oven, covering it completely, but avoiding the heating elements.  Wear gloves to take care of your hands and a cloth to rub the paste in all the dirt.

 4. Next, close the oven and let it sit overnight.  While waiting, you can also clean the racks.

 5. The next day, clean the baking soda paste and use a plastic spatula to scrape off the dirt.  Then, sprinkle the entire oven surface with vinegar, except the heating elements.  All the foam will be lifted and allowed to act for 15 to 20 minutes.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the oven is only kept clean for a short time, so you can enjoy it 😉

 Remove tea and coffee stains

A mixture and the reaction between vinegar and baking soda gently removes coffee and tea stains from your ceramic and porcelain cups and from your coffee maker.  Baking soda helps introduce vinegar into small cracks and crevices that tend to harbor stains while providing a mild abrasive action.

To remove coffee stains from clothing, mix a tablespoon of warm water, white vinegar and laundry detergent.  This powerful cleaning solution will remove coffee stains from your shirt quickly and efficiently.

 To clean the bathroom

Use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide.  Spray this cleaner around the sink, the toilet seat and lid, and the tub with white vinegar;  Then I spray everything again with peroxide.

The mixture of white vinegar and peroxide is a "germ killer" more powerful than either of them separately.  Let them mix for a minute while taking the opportunity to clean other areas.  Then clean the surfaces with a damp cloth.

 Remove old paint from brushes

Place the brushes in a pot of vinegar and let them soak for an hour or more.  Then light the heat and bring the vinegar to a simmer.  Drain the vinegar and rinse the brushes.

 Use in washing machine

The use of vinegar in clothing is an economical way to increase your detergent.  Add 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar along with laundry detergent when washing clothes.  Vinegar reduces static adhesion, helps make clothes cleaner and acts as a fabric softener for DIY.  When washing dark clothes, mix 1/2 cup of vinegar in the final wash cycle to clean soapy water.

 Remove gum

The gum glued to the hair or the fabric is a total disaster.  Pour some vinegar into a cup and heat it in the microwave.  Saturate the gum with the vinegar to dissolve it and allow it to be easily removed.

 For dogs

Spray your dog with a mixture of 1 quart of water + 1 cup of white vinegar + 10 drops of cedar oil to combat the smell while helping to repel fleas and ticks.  It is convenient to use this recipe to deodorize between baths.

It is recommended to use cedar essential oil, but lavender, rose, eucalyptus, patchouli and lemongrass are also effective in repelling fleas and ticks.
